Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about using InfinityCards on the web and in the Android app.
Getting started
What is InfinityCards?
InfinityCards helps you discover, scan and organize Pokémon cards. You can manage a collection, wishlists, binders and decks from the website and Android app.
Do I need an account?
You can browse public content without an account. An account is required to save cards, create lists, scan cards and use social or vendor features.
Which cards are supported?
The card database focuses on English and Japanese Pokémon cards. Accessories are currently hidden in Discover.
Scanning
How does card scanning work?
Point the camera at the card and keep it inside the guide. The app takes a temporary image, reads identifying text and compares the result with the InfinityCards database. You always confirm the match before adding it.
Is a scan always correct?
No recognition system is perfect. Lighting, focus, sleeves and unusual card layouts can affect the result. Check the name, set and card number before confirming.
Is the scan photo stored?
The camera image is used temporarily for recognition and is not kept as a card photo in your account. Technical OCR information can be logged for security, diagnostics and improving reliability.
How do scan credits work?
Each completed recognition uses a scan credit. Your available balance and the allowances belonging to your plan are shown in your profile and on the scanner screen.
Collection, binders and decks
What is the difference between my collection and a binder?
Your collection contains the cards you own. A binder organizes collection cards and wishlist positions into pockets without creating a second physical copy.
Can I create a binder automatically?
Yes. The binder wizard can prepare a binder by set, Pokémon, illustrator or rarity and by English, Japanese or both languages. Missing cards can be added as wishlist positions.
Can the same physical card be placed in multiple binders?
InfinityCards checks whether a collection item is already assigned. You can choose to move it, while wishlist positions remain separate from owned cards.
Does the deck builder check deck rules?
The deck builder checks deck size, duplicate limits, language, evolution links and Standard or Expanded eligibility managed in InfinityCards. Individual cards or entire sets can be excluded; unknown eligibility is reported separately. This is not official tournament approval. You can keep an invalid deck without losing cards.
Prices and vendors
Where do price indications come from?
InfinityCards can show Cardmarket market data and prices from active InfinityCards vendor listings. Availability and coverage differ per card.
Are displayed prices guaranteed?
No. Prices are indications or vendor asking prices. Condition, language, grading, demand and the final transaction can change the actual value.
What can a vendor account do?
Vendors can manage inventory, team members, public profile information, price tags and sales events. Live events can publish available cards through the same vendor QR code.
Can vendor inventory be exported?
Supported vendor lists and events can be exported for compatible workflows such as Whatnot. InfinityCards validates required export fields and reports incomplete records before export.
Account and subscription
How can I sign in?
You can use email and password, a magic link or Google sign-in when it is available for the current environment.
Where do I manage my subscription?
Your current plan, validity and management options are shown in your profile. Website subscriptions are handled through the connected payment provider.
What happens when a subscription ends?
After expiry, the features and limits of your new plan apply. Existing binders and decks may become read-only; binders are not automatically deleted solely because of a downgrade. You can subscribe again. Current features and limits are listed on Pricing.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Account deletion is available under Profile and Security. Information that must legally be retained, such as certain financial records, is handled separately from your active account data.
Privacy and support
What data does InfinityCards store?
This depends on the features you use. It includes account information such as your email address and username, your collection, binders and decks, and social data such as messages and reactions. We also process subscription and payment status, sessions, device and push registrations, and technical data such as IP addresses and error logs. Read more in the privacy notice
Why is this data needed?
We use data to provide your account, collection, synchronization, scans, communication and payments. Technical data helps us secure the service, prevent abuse and investigate errors. The privacy notice explains why we process data for each purpose. Read more in the privacy notice
What can other users see about me?
Public profiles use your chosen username and profile address, not your email address. Your settings and shared content determine which profile information and binders are visible. Messages are intended for conversation participants, but authorized administrators may access them when needed for support, security or moderation. Chat is not end-to-end encrypted. Read more in the privacy notice
What happens to my scan photo and result?
The Android app temporarily uses a card photo for recognition. Depending on the settings, Google Cloud Vision or Gemini may process it. Temporary captures and server files are cleaned up after processing; the photo is not saved as a collection image. Recognition results may be cached temporarily, and technical scan logs have a separate retention period. Read more in the privacy notice
Do you share data with other companies?
Service providers support hosting, email, Google sign-in and recognition, Stripe payments and Firebase push notifications. They receive the data needed for the features you use. InfinityCards does not sell personal data. Google sign-in does not give us access to your Gmail or Drive, and we do not store full payment card numbers. Read more in the privacy notice
How long do you keep my data?
Account information and submitted content remain available while your account and the relevant features are in use. Technical logs and recognition results have separate retention periods described in the privacy notice. Deleted chat messages may still be retained internally for moderation. Account deletion does not immediately erase all backups or records needed longer for administration, security or disputes. Read more in the privacy notice
Who owns my collection data?
You retain control over your collection information. InfinityCards uses it to provide the requested features and does not claim ownership of your cards.
Can I export or clear my data?
Profile and security settings provide the available export, collection-clearing and account-deletion options. Some operations require confirmation and cannot be undone.
How do I report a bug?
Use the support form and describe the page, action and error message. Screenshots are helpful, but never include passwords, recovery codes or payment details.
